Message from the CCFD Chair

Dear Illinois Community,

I am honored to serve as chair of the 2009 Charitable Contributions Fund Drive (CCFD). The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign has a long-standing tradition of concern and active support for the community. I know that this year will be yet another example of how the university community helps others by providing support for breast cancer patients, healthcare programs for immigrants, temporary care for children in abusive environments, or one of the many other ways your support of the CCFD makes a difference for those in need.

We are at a time when others in our community and throughout the state need our help more than ever. The unsteadiness of the economy strains the human services organizations that those in need rely upon for support. It is time for us to make a difference with this year?s campaign. The Chancellor has decided to continue the theme of ?Every Gift Matters.? In acknowledgement of these economic times, the goal of the 2009 CCFD once again is $1.4 million.

Especially now, we need you to make your pledge and to make a difference. This brochure describes the participating Agencies and includes your 2009 Pledge Form. As always, you can give to one of eleven umbrella Agencies and/or designate your contribution within an Agency. Please take the opportunity now. On behalf of those who will benefit from your participation, I thank you for continuing the tradition.
